After sales services of various companies

Am thinking of buying a fridge. Am considering HAIER. But am not sure about the product and after sales services of the company. Any suggestions please . more  

better opt for whirlpool for a fridge only more  
1. BEE marking is compulsory for fridges. The more the star rating the higher it is efficient. 2. Please look at the feedback/views/complaints on the public domain. You can have fairly good idea as to what are the quality standards of the companies/manufacturers. Any company should have robust mechanism for complaint handling. The more the complaint with number of days for the pendency the poor the item that gets into the market. 3. Please visit the webiste of the brand. Please ensure to see whether all contact details like address, phone numbers, email ids are listed. If possible try to send a sample email and a call at their customer cell to see whether the given details are in working condition. more  
Dear Alka Jain, first thing you must seek in any brand is the third party quality standards mark i.e. ISI. Second, you should seek the unit that carry 5-star certification for power consumption. Next I would suggest that you contact "Consumer Voice" by accessing the VOICE website who conduct product testing for quality performance and may get the one of your choice. Keep all your documents like cash memo, warrantee certificates, in the case of any defect that may come up after sale. Also, ensure after sale service from the dealer and the manufacturer. more  
Our experience with Haier AC has been very very poor. The product was substandard and after first year it was found to be beyond repair. This was however around 6 years ago. We have found LG to be the most reliable as compared to Whirlpool, Samsung, Godrej, Videocon etc. more
