Dont worry if u purchase a second new car or second new used car, now in future u will get same last digit of your first car or if u have odd no ending registration no of your first car u will get also get odd no ending registration no of your proposed second car in family. more

We Indian have to think rationally to see the effect of minimum traffic on roads in terms of - - Smooth Traffic - Less fuel wastage. - Less Accidents. - Less Break-downs. - Better Traffic Police Control/Management of in Rush Hrs. - Less Tension to People on Roads. - Improved Metro Services. - Improved DTC/Bus Services. - Certainly better AIR to breath etc. Do NOT discard a POSITIVE INITIATIVE at the out-set,Try & Test it to realize the GOOD! Simultaneously, let's STRICTLY implement other measures to keep Delhi Air Clean, for ever. more

Though I agree that cars are not the main issue and there are many other larger causes causing pollution, I think the odd-even plan has brought about a sensitization to everyone on this issue, and this is very important. But now the Delhi government must tackle more difficult things (as suggested by others here), and Centre must support them wholeheartedly for the benefit of all citizens. If someone is trying something new for the better, we should give it some time before starting to criticize. more
