Ashokji, the problem, of rape & incestuous rape, you are posing is a complex matter, exasperated further by the unwillingness of our society to look at ourselves critically. The swiftness to make this a Bharat vs India issue, is a case in point. No denying that western culture, especially the way sex gets represented, has a provocative influence; but putting the entire blame on foreign influence is another matter. Besides, this kind of a mindset eliminates the need for correction of our own component, the general attitude of our menfolk towards women, which is to treat them as mere commodities and not as equal partners. Social attitudes towards the " vulnerable " sex needs to change, also in Bharat, then the situation will improve. more
Dear Pradeep what you said is right but please do not forget Society changes with the TIME . there is always significant change in the thinking process of the people forming a society and we call it " ZAMANA BADAL GAYA "
government tried every thing to bring down the " RAPE CASES " but nothing worked out
because its the MIND SET of the people that is to be dealt seriously
Rakshak becomes Bhakshak
these cases are not uncommon be it police station or your own house .
cases of uncle, brother grand father or even father raping his own daughter been published in the newspapers .How does society treat them .
Blame it on RIO ???
Under the influence of .....? is the standard excuse given in 90 % of the cases
what kind of resistance from one year old child who can't even stand on her two feet ,you do expect ?
Blame their parents ? why did they leave her alone ? more
society will always have sympathy for her only.........only legal punishment more
If proved wrong then do you think she will have face to show in the society !
She will be thrown out of the society leave aside her own family members .Plus the punishment !! more
@Ashok Sehgal Ji, Yes...along with that he should be punished as well if proved. But if case is not proved or found to be false then same amount of punishment should be given to that women as well....what is your take on this? more
