Hello All,
I am really happy to join this group.
I wanted to express my views that we have to think about the daily Traffic Jam on Road. To some extent, we are also responsible for this activity. So it is my request from heart that please look into this matter seriously and put your efforts to solve this problem.

Also we should educate people to co-operate. When one person try to cross over the road then all other try to stop him. more
As you have said yourself Vineet - "we are also responsible to some extent", the action and effort has to start from each and every one of us. In fact, we are individually responsible to a large extent for this problem. How many of us have really followed traffic rules, maintained our lanes, or tried to reduce the car traffic on the road? I think, none of us. Every body wants to travel in his own car even though from the same place or residential complexes, there may be many people travelling to the same work place. Every body wants to buy a new bigger car to show our status in the society, take short cuts to avoid long U-turn, take turns at prohibited places, change lanes without giving signal and block the left most lane even if we have to go right. I see this happening every day on the road. I have been living abroad for the last 25 years and had hardly come across any driver who do not follow traffic rules. However, after my return here 5 months back, it is a herculean task to drive with so many violations taking place every day including well educated people and the traffic police is also helpless some times. So, please start the effort, we are all with you. more
We need to educate people about right of way at intersection. this is where all our education, values, and respect for each other goes for toss. Sincere effort needs to be done on traffic chos otherwise we all will be moving nowhere very soon more
