Delhi police must be under Delhi Govt. thru quick legislations and or other formalities involved in transferring this
institution to Delhi. more

Divide & rule is adopted by creating ANAMAT. Create ANAMAT in Delhi with regard to police rule. Let 60% Police be under Delhi CM and let 40% police be under HM, Central Govt. and see the resulting chaos for yourself. Instead of ANAMAT, we need free education for all up to grade 12 and Police should report to Supreme Court with judges from 3 different state High Courts and not to CM or HM. Change these Supreme Court judges every 3 months with judges from High Courts other 3 states. Indian Prime Minister has to dance to the tunes of Members of Parliament, because in Congress Constitution, PM is not elected by people but is appointed by MPs. CM or PM should not dance to the tunes of police or MLAs or MPs. Constitution has to be changed with two third majority, which makes changes for betterment in a normal citizen's life impossible. Who will change this provision of two third majority? more
Pushpaji, I fully agree that Delhi Police should be under Delhi State Government (Govt). I suggest that a corridor be created whose responsibility of security could be that of the Centre. For this some Police force could be placed under the Centre for security of Central Govt Ministers and VVIPs. Rest areas to be under Delhi Govt and balance police force be under Delhi Govt and be accountable to them. I fail to understand why media is hyping irrelevant issues with the aim of letting down AAP and not bringing up this major issue of Delhi Police being under Delhi Govt and not under Centre . If Delhi Govt is to be responsible for Law and Order then Police Force has to be under Delhi Govt for proper accountability. If Mr AK, CM AAP, has to function and be responsible for Law and Order in Delhi then Delhi Police has to be under Delhi State Govt. I am sure every body will agree that Delhi CM can not remain a silent spectator to the deteriorating Law and Order situation in Delhi. He has to voice his dissatisfaction in some way or the other. Please remember AAP Govt in Delhi is just one month old. They do not have a magic wand to do wonders in one month’s time. One has to be patient and give them adequate time. more
I agree! more
