My introduction to corruption was way back in 1974 when the then controller of explosives demanded a payment of Rs. 3500/-- because our company had started using a FO tank before it was approved by them. The tank was according to their norms and drawings were also submitted for approval a long time back.
Then in 1999 our company paid bribes to the tune of Rs. 1 crore to get a bank loan of Rs. 30 crores for a project with a total outlay of Rs. 8 crores. This was from a consortium of banks including leading private and govt banks of today.
No wonder the NPA loans of banks are skyrocketing. Such loans are doomed right from the beginning because the sanctioning process itself is not proper.
I really wonder where are we heading???? more

I do not know if the incidences of corruption reported by Shri. Satish Bapat can be verified after a lapse of so many years. If yes, it shall be investigated, and law shall take its own course to punish the guilty. more
