40% of Delhi Population still does not have pipe line to reach water

It was surprisiing to know that even after 66 years of independence, 40% of Delhi population has no access to the water through the pipe line. Congress and BJP have been ruling the Delhi government and Municipal Corporation. I feel 40% of the population still not have been provided access to the water and 82 crore population of India has been made to provide the food security. India has got 37 crore population at the time of independence. Assuming that 100% were the poor people, congress and BJP has on its credit to produce 45 crore people post independence and that is the subject achievement to lean our head.. more

Sorry it is not agreeable that to provide water supply, colonies authorisation is an obstruction No such excuse can be accepted Provisionally, water supplied can be provided In fact those part of population require free water supply Water supplies & electric supplies are basic amenities more
Without going in to as to why there are no pipelines connecting 40% of population of Delhi we should not jump to conclusions. No pipes or electricity connections could be given unless the houses and colonies are approved. Most of the areas which are occupations, unauthorized colonies hence they do not have pipe connections that are what I understand as a non Delhiwala. The question is do we regularize these areas, colonies, constructions and give them the water or do we take to task those who have violated the laws of the land. In future what is going to be our policy? Are we going on legalizing unauthorized constructions, colonies and allow public to replicate what has happened till now. Should we have to have law abiding citizens or those who violate the law and look to another Govt. at some other time to regularize it by voting to that party or Govt. Where is end for this and we, as a changers of the entire polity, regularize all unauthorized constructions throughout India and send a signal that law breakers in this country will be taken care of by regularizing their wrong acts. Let us decide now as it will turn out in to a major issue throughout India and questions will be raised as to how at once place it could be regularized and not at another place. This may even lead to attributing motives to us and there by tarnishing our image. more
Decision has been reached for sake of making decision only, since virtually, it shall apply on part consumption only All citizens of Delhi NCT shall not be able to avail this facility Moreover, decision applies only, on functional water meters, otherwise, application is void Lacs of meters fetch water for more than 5 persons, who consumption each meter wise shall certainly be more than 20 K per month Crossing 20K reading, means have to pay bill +10% enhancement per announcement All areas around 50% NCT would not avail concession facility, since no meters function for no waterlines are available Delivery by water tankers to 20K requirement per family is not virtually feasible Each family requires 35 buckets full size to store 750 litres per day Even, 750/1000 litres water tank shall not solve this issue, since delivery tankers may not reach each family locations Moreover, storage tank would certainly cost more than 5000 rupees in each case!!! To get a saving 225 rupees, shall consumer spend more than 5000 rupees or Government may arrange deliveries of 750/1000 litres tank to each family Decision has not been based on comprehensive contemplation Housing societies draw water from single prime meters Shall number of flats or families would be multiplied by 20K for reaching final concessional figure? Many families in Delhi accommodate 5 to 15 persons, how shall they be billed more
I wish, there had been a professional and expert on water technology to advise AAP on this issue before taking such a decision, which has been taken in haste. more
