The problem is that of quality, packaging and marketing. I was associated with manufacturing sector for my whole life and I know personally that barring few, our products do not match international standard. Instead of barring the foreign products we have to raise our own standards, as we have proved in the case of space technology. Here we can beat any country with regard to quality and pricing and therefore developed countries are approaching us to make products for them. Unfortunately this is not the case with other fields where we are way behind other countries. If we have to make ourselves a manufacturing hub and compete with the world, we have to improve our quality, productivity, packaging and marketing skills. Putting restrictions on the foreign products will not do. we have to become better. That is the only solution.

Yes standards can be improved only having good/fair will power by our top level leaders. They should be honest and have a will power that not to take any bribe/commission or not to protect to any one even their own kids & kins who ever commit illegality/corruption in any form. Every thing in the India will become best then international standards. Where most of people everywhere and every one want commission/share/bribe, then it is impossible. more

Sir what quality improvement u r referring to? Did u mean qualities Coca cola, Pepsi ect, their quality found to contain ingredients much much higher than permissible limits for human consumption. But our government did not ever penalize them. I understand Pizza/Burger is no more a favorite meal in USA, but we r encouraging them in our country, instead of Roti(made of wheat)/Rice/Dal/veg.
