Thanks to "AAP" for immediate announcing of free water upto 20KL per month to metered supplies. It is a significant honour to the promises being made to voters prior to the elections. However as usual the misuse of loopholes has started. Now the corrupt employees have resorted to declaring metered house as "locked" or "meter stopped" whereas the fact is that the meter readers do not visit most of the houses so that those people come to them to get correction done. The possibility of such misuse of meter readers could not be ruled out. I therefore have a suggestion before the stakeholders to immediately put a complaint redressal system appropriately with inclusion of complaint through emails or online complaint registration with benchmark to resolve them. Needless to mention that I have already got few complaints like meter reader not visiting the house for reading. more

Excellent suggestion by Mr SK Virmani. Besides, DJB needs to implement a process where Water Bills can be paid through Internet Banking/NEFT etc like Electricity & Telephone Bills. One has to physically go to bank/post office/DJB office and stand in long queue to pay the bill. more
