Our Prime Minister is dedicating himself to make world class cities in India. I do not know whether it is a political dream or is an actual dedication.

I have a chance to visit New Delhi Railway Station on 10th July 2014 and wanted to reach platform No. 2 from Ajmeri gate side by using escalator being unable to walk through staircase.
1. The scanner checking for luggage: It was working. Two police men were sitting to monitor but seen gossiping. Surprised to note that the monitor through which scanning was being monitored was lying switched off. Tried to take snap but the policemen preferred to hide from the camera.

2. Escalators were not working. Barricades were kept just on the approach side. Tried to find out two policemen and a staff. Was told that this is not working since last more than six months. I recalled I had visited at least four times during last one year but were not working even at those time also. Barricading this time compelled me to think that these must have been now permanently closed. Snap of the escalators attached with this post. All senior old aged people were using the staircase.

3. It was very difficult to stand at platform No. 2 being smelling very heavy.

4. Tweeted number of times the condition of New Delhi Rly Station to PM office, Newspaper and electronic media and few important personalities like Anjana Om Kashyap and Dibang who recently covered Bullet Train in China. Surprisingly they never reacted to the tweets. Why the media is so biased could not understand. probably guess that electronic media must have been made BJP spokes media without realising that spooning and buttering is dangerous for the development of the country. Criticism always improves upon quality. more

u r right sir BJP HAS TO SEE IT FIRST more
Yes, this budget is only for corporates and not for people as it is making common person fool. more
I second your point Sir, The morning and evening traffic jams outside Paharganj side can easily put one in the most sensitive situation. The encroachment opposite to railway station "All Dhaba and Travel agents" have made a bottle neck outside the station. I visited railway station and entered from Ajmeri gate side, to my surprise the scanners were not working, the Coolie asked us high amount and has no threat of complaint. The police man standing on duty was smoking and other one ws flirting with a lady who was exiting from entry point. ( it was not a good thing to see some policeman doing it with a lady). Our Railway stations are under complete mismanagement and the authorities have no concerns . Will our post or concern can bring in some change in discipline. Is price rise in railways fair going to bring smooth functioning ? Sumit more
Media is probably afraid of Modi administration. more
Media is biased since beginning and before the election process started. Looks like big conspiracy. more
