Non acquistion of agricultural land for developmental projects
We are a country based on agriculture. Our developmental activities or any promotional activities on any of the areas like Railways, Highways etc. should at any cost touch our treasure i.e. agricultural lands. Actually we are running short of fertile lands that are under cultivation as we are heading for a city like culture even in village areas. As our villagers engaged in agriculture are shifting their profession to other areas and moving towards cities like Chennai, Mumbai etc. we will be compelled to concentrate more on agriculture if we really want to avoid import of agricultural products. At this critical juncture if we penalize our villagers by acquiring fertile lands of agriculture for developmental activities like CHENNAI SALEM highway corridor it would be nothing less than atrocious and self destructing. PLEASE AVOID AND use PILLARS LIKE FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO CONNECT HIGHWAYS THAT WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE AND ADOPTABLE FOR COUNTRY LIKE OURS INSTEAD OF ACQUIRING FERTILE AGRICULTURAL LANDS
