Lane discipline on NH 48 / NH 8

Online Signatures: 2
When we drive from Vadodara to Surat /Vapi or vice-e-versa it becomes very much difficult to drive in appropriate lane due to rash driving by trucks / lorries/ multi axial vehicles as they keep driving in the right most lane (first lane) and in many cases, all three lanes are occupied by such heavy vehicles which drives at a speed lower than 45 / 50 kmph. In this case, drivers of cars or major 4 wheel vehicles are forced to drive in left most lane which is a major cause of accidents. Please do the needful at earliest. There should be stringent system applying penalties to both drivers and vehicle owners both for such drivings. All highways have sign boards for heavy vehicles to drive on the left most lane and not in the first lane. But it is not followed by them.

Lane discipline is a problem all over India. The solution is in ensuring proper training while issuing a license and effective monitoring of traffic with introduction of black points more
