IRCTC purposefully delaying during tatkal period with unnecessary questions

Greetings,

Off lately I have seen that during tatkal period so many questions are being asked. What is the need to ask the DOB , a new captcha again. And the captcha never works for the booking ID. Today tried more than 20 times. And if it accepts the session gets expires.

It seems that its just to facilitate the touts rather than the genuine users. And its not only me many others have the same complaint.

IRCTC is meant ti provide safety cover to touts so why are you worried at all. They are doing their duties and let them do it. You can travel by air more

Tatkal is one definite experience for me as many members have complained . In addition we also WITNESS THE DELAYING TACTICS OF IRCTC WHEN THE SEATS ARE GETTING FILLED FAST DURING FESTIVAL SEASONS, WEEK ENDS. EVEN A CHILD WILL SAY IT IS FAVOURING SOME SECTION ,PARTY . more

I have not much experience about Tatkal booking. But once I had some experience like this and later on it was found that some touts had got software which creates unnecessary hurdles for other passengers till the booking is full. The software engineer responsible was caught from Ahmadabad later on. I am sure it is job of some agents along with software engineers. Railway intelligence should take action as soon as possible. more

All that is required for preventing misuse and corruption should be asked i.e. Name, Age, I card type and no. preferably Aadhar card and confirmation by Bank of transfer of money. Any additional information sought by Tatkal/ Reservation form MUST be eliminated from the form. Immediate action by concerned is essential.
However it must be accepted that any change , particularly good for user/ masses/ people is strongly resisted by executives in Governance as it would hurt their interest - corruption and importance. Even the grievance redressal system of State Govt. does not work and they do not bother about the complaint. The reason is they are organised and so get facilities and pay hikes through Pay Commissions but PEOPLE do not get any improvement in service as they are not united together. Local Circle is expected to fill this gap effectively and demonstrate and publicise the effectiveness.
