FOOD at Railway Stations can be made a whole lot better by simply improving the below measures -

Cleanliness - Often pantry cars are infested with cockroaches and rats as are the station platforms and waiting rooms.
An effective measure would be to engage with pest control services once a quarter at least

Hygiene - Is definitely improving but can be made a lot better. Hygiene for the food preparations can be ensured by adherence of FSSAI standards

Certification - FSSAI certification to be enforced and random checks implemented on the food that is served on the train as well as in the kiosks & restaurants in the Station platforms.

Let's join together to make travel better & cleaner for all of us.

Please endorse your support and share widely.
Thank you.
Will someone please work upon getting this figure of 3000 down to something like 300 ?
Most of such projects are hanging in the air for lack of sufficient support....... more

Our places are infested with rats, cockroaches, flies, lizards. Only our total commitment can bring changes for the betterment. It is not only when somebody (so called VIP) is to visit a particular place , we go in for temporary decoration. Once the event is over, cleanliness, hygienic conditions become aliens to us. It should be a continuous process. We should all be committed to keep our places and surrounding clean and thus lead to improvement in hygienic conditions. more

Yes, the quality and hygiene need to be improved, particularly in pantry cars. You do not feel like eating when you pass through pantry. more

sir, cleanliness comes with a price. People who can't buy 80 rupees plates can carry their own food. The railway should provide potable water in coach itself which passengers can fill in their own bottles. And the onus is not just on the authorities. The passengers also need to do their part in maintaining cleanliness. Stop eating unhygienic food and automatically it would stop selling. more

I also strongly recommend that Rs.50/- meals should available as per public demand in the train also. presently these meals is available as per request. Generally they distribute Rs.80/- meals instead Rs.50/-. more

I very strongly feel that food stalls at the railway stations must serve hygienic foods only. If railways are issuing license to food suppliers, they are not doing a good job as on date. One is scared to eat food from railway stations for fear of falling sick. This situation must change. more
