I am shocked to find that you have debited Rs.147.50 to my account for an ATM Card (Maestro No. 504993***9985). This ATM card I had surrendered to you long back when it became inoperative. You had charged me an amount of Rs.233 for replacing the ATM card. I REQUEST YOU TO BLOCK THIS CARD AND LET ME HAVE CONFIRMATION TO THIS MAIL OR TO MY M B.NO. 8547480409.

For the last 2-3 years I am using the new ATM card (Classic ending with No. ****0435). You have collected service charges for this ATM card, that is well and good..

I request you to refund the service charge you collected from my account for the ATM card I had surrendered to you long back.

thanking you,

yours faithfully
JOYKUTTY VARGHESE"
The matter should be taken up with banking ombudsman after a wait of one month or so for a reply. It should also be ensured that a certificate of cancillation of earlier card is obtained from the bank. Some banks expect such issues to be resolved through net-banking. more
