Dear Sir/Madam,

We thank Ministry of Human Resources Development for working diligently to improve quality of education in India.

OCI card holders are facing some challenges while studying in India.

1. In Indian Institute of Technology(IITs') some seats are reserved for foreign citizens, whereas OCI card holders are not eligible for these seats.

2. OCI card holders can not use Join Entrance Examination (JEE) mains score to get into National Institute of Technology (NIT). Whereas Indian citizens can use JEE mains score to get into NIT.

Kindly direct respective departments to address this issue.

Thank you
OCIs who have settled in India should still be considered eligible for IITs and NITs. They pay high taxes to Indian govt and moved back to India for good. They should be encouraged and treated well to prevent further brain drain. If discrimination along these lines continue, they will not hesitate to move back to their country of citizenship. more

I agree that there should be no discrimination and that govt need to look into it more
