The Railways under Piyush Goyal have become innovative and doing their best to reinvent themselves and improve the profits and viability of the Organiztion.At the same time they have been responsive to customer needs and grievances.
Since UPA government the speed up of railways reforms have started. The problem with railway ministry is that it is giving more importance to the state from where the railway minister is coming from. Also it is showing Nelson's eye on Andhra Pradesh state. Many representations were submitted but nothing came into light. In Karnataka even without asking many new trains are being started every year and new projects are taken up. Already one big Wheel and Axle plant is there in Bangalore yet one more sanctioned to that place. I dont see any logic in it. In the name of Humsafar trains etc., it is not giving any concession to senior citizens etc., which is a heavy burden on the persons who had served the country. But in one thing I have to appreciate. Doubling and electrification is going on briskly.
The functioning of Railways has improved by leaps and bounds under the present Government. The customer service is good. The Railways are responsive to passenger grievances. Adaptation of technology for improving passenger comfort and providing superior ambience in the trains and the railway stations is appreciated.

The train is always late by 45 minutes to one hour. The train never reaches in time. Even brindavan Express, Double decker express and labagh express reaches in time . I do not understand the reason for charging higher fare when it never reaches with in the allotted 5 hours and reaches in 6 hours . Moreover, the platform no is changed from 1 to 2 at the bangalore cantonment station in the last minute on many occasions causing considerable hardship to passengers
