BMC is never going to improve.Probably BMC does not believe in quality.There is too much corruption in all the depts of BMC.

BMC, under KhauSena, will not improve. I stay near a Rly Stn. New shops come up everywhere and old shops increase their area on road, a mutton / chicken open shop is put up out side station on a footpath. BMC employees get the rent in cash.

No improvement worth the name is seen in any field, including garbage management. Why not the Govt of Maharashtra along with all Municipal Corporations and other Local Bodies subsidize small scale or medium scale units in respective areas to:
1. Convert plastic collected by rag-pickers on paying them remunerative price, into granules for manufacturing utility items like buckets, basins, etc.; into mixture for mixing with bitumen for road building/tarring, and other useful items on commecial basis.
2. Buy paper, and other dry materials from rag-pickers on paying them remunerative price which can be used for paper/board making, etc.
3. Convert wet garbage for making electricity and residue for making compost and sell the products
4. Collect non-degradable and hazardous materials like batteries, e-waste, etc. and dispose of them in proper manner and thus avoid health risk to the people and reduce health management costs.
These are only the thoughts of a layman. Experts would be able to make it more appealing to entrepreneurs to get involved with necessary support from the Govt/Municipal Bodies; thus creating employment, manage waste, generate useful products.

with new construction continue in Mumbai it is very difficult to take clean air. Life of Mumbaikars is shortened.On the road and footpath, you will find various party sponsored stalls and all parties are involved in it. ONLY in Mulund east, you will find more than hundred new stalls came up during this election. Surprisingly no police no municipalities are taking any action against them. these vendors are destroying Mulund. You can't even walk on the road. If you feel you want to do something good for us remove those unauthorised stalls. On the roads on the eastern side are not flat due to paver blocks. Any old person will definitely get injured. If you really want to do anything please flatten those roads.If you do that then we all mu Lund Kar will definitely appreciate you.
