It is really sad to see that the most vibrant, colorful, city of stars, financial capital, Mumbai, degrading under the BMC. I feel sad to see the plight of Mumbai city and Mumbaikars. Rampant corruption, crime, mismanagement is seen. The city is dirty, filthy, foul smelling, open drains, garbage on sides of roads, non-existing foot paths, hawkers crouching on foot paths, horrible horrible roads, etc, etc... Just can go on and on... and this is the situation when it is governed by the richest municipal in the country...
The BMC has been captured by political parties to serve their own vested interests. In the scheme of things, citizens' interests figure very low down in their list of priorities. The ruling coalition makes sure that all sections including the opposition are well taken care of by a share of the spoils which for a body the size of BMC is humongous. So it does not matter much who wins the next election. The citizen will keep getting the rough end of the stick.
The most corrupt corporation in the country. Everyday we hear about it giving contracts to co.who have done a bad job. But the same co.still keeps getting the contracts.
Public toilets are in worst condition. Even paid toilets are not to the desired standard. Due to water shortage condition is going to become worst day by day.
