IDBI Bank Salt Lake Branch (Ad 75) coaxed me to get IDBI Federal Insurance about two years ago when my two fixed deposits with IDBI matured.
Two days ago (20 December 2017) I received a letter from IDBI Federal that my insurance policies shall be linked to my Aadhaar number.
Today (22 December 2017) I went to the IDBI Bank and requested to do the needful.
The lady in the front desk was co operative and did the needful with her smartphone by taking pictures of my Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
When she said, it is done, I requested a receipt.
Not only she refused to give me receipt, she stated giving me sermons that I should have taken a photocopy of my documents.
In the first place, this request should not have come to me.
MY IDBI S/B account is already linked to my Aadhaar Card.
IDBI Bank should have communicated this to IDBI Federal.
How can a Bank deny their customer a receipt after a business transaction?
