HP sell substandard lap top which will not last even for three months and they will try to repair for another one month and then give up . MOney swindled

There are two very important reasons for brand failures: One is the lack of use of Standard marked intermediary products in final products like HP laptop pavilion dv6. Number 2 is the worst quality of 'workmanship' at the assembly line of the product. HP and all other brands fail because of these two reasons. After sales service is the third ground for the bad name that brings to the brand.
Symphony brand of coolers is another name that has failed, mainly because of its very expensive after sales service. They make unethical charges on account of visits to the customers' places, the cost of which is included in the cost of production, delivery and performance warrantee/guarantee. There are lot many white goods consumer brands that can be named. If the industry takes care of using Standards quality of intermediary inputs and ensure workmanship to the finished products, a lot of complaints can be taken care of before it leads the factory premises.

visit to customer house should be started by them as its very difficult to pick items and travel to their offices for repairs or any small issues.They dont cater to site visits which is not right and consideration should be given to this

Agree with Rakesh Yadav. I have laptop pavilion dv6. The body has developed cracks all over. Neither I am happy with performance. Also have a desktop purchased in ME. Extended Mac was taken here which was offered by hp. Unfortunately problem developed with hard disk. HP responded after a long time and then preferred to return AMC amount without interest and bill for new hard disk. Buy HP product only if you intend to get it serviced at local repair shop.

I too had the same experience with HP .
1. They have the unqualified tech. staff. (Pls read as competent tech. staff).
2. Their service centers are meant only for earning money they will charge you b/w INR 1000/- to INR 1800/- only for diagnosis of your laptop and that too will be done after 2-3 days and regular follow-ups.
3. The quality of laptops is too poor both in terms of external body & internal parts.
I bought HO ENVY-4 1103 tx Ultrabook in 2012 and now the unit is totally absurd , even if I ask someone to have it for free they will refuse to have it. In this last 3years and 3 months, I've raised not less than 10 tickets and escalated the issue to the level of Consumer grievance cell of HP 5 times to get the issues resolved. few done few still have not done
What interesting I found with HP laptop is that it has self-deteriorating plastic body which can never be trusted.
HP laptops don't have life more than 2-3 Yrs.
It's purely my personal experience about HP .
