There is no functional electronic display of train arrivals at platforms. The coach positions are seldom displayed ay platforms. The information center is closed to platform side and long queues for tokens at the opposite side. So this is not accessible. A small board at the entrance serve to give the said information that are handwritten.The platform number is filled in it in this last minute. A computerized process with automatic electronic display can solve this.

The public grievance redressal machinery at Trivandrum Disivion of Southern Railway is a biased one. The ADRM who is the nominated authority in this regard is not paying attention to look into the genuine complaints. He is coming out with a ready made reply after thirty to forty days from lodging the complaint that all the employees under him are on right path and the complainant/s is/are walking other wise. Incidents of levying penalty unnecessarily and forcefully asking passengers to detrain etc are handled very lightly and closed with such ready made replies. He does not care to take actions on the lines of Hon'ble Supreme Court decision in Salem Advocates Bar Association v. Union of India and on the contrary extending the service of railway advocates to such erring employees at the cost of public. Is the Railway Board is aware of this?
