Withdrawal of amount from my inoperative EPF accou
Hi friends,
I associated with Chennai based organization for one year and that organization was closed and inoperative now. I got all required papers for withdrawal of my PF amount duly signed wherever required by HR and other personnel of erstwhile organization. currently, I am located in Hyderabad and working with another organization. During these two and half years tenure, I could not able to find time to go Chennai and apply for withdrawal. My question to the learned group is, can I submit my withdrawal forms through post and request the amount transfer to my bank account? If yes, how I will ensure that the application reached to the requisite office and also, how I will pursue further if, by any chance, I did not receive my amount into my bank account? Will there be any timelines for this transfer?
If not, can you please post the address of PF office of Chennai to pursue further?

yes thro online u can transfer ur old account balance to current pf account, visit EPF login site for further details more

Withdrawal and gtransfer are two different things. You can transfer the EPF accumulations of your previous organisation to the account of present employer. more

You can transfer your earlier amount to new company account easily and no need to go to Chennai. However for a smooth process talk to the earlier Co person responsible for PF since the online details will go to him automatically immediately after you apply online through UAN (that is a self explanatory procedure). The moment you apply online it will ask 2 Alternatives, 1-submission through earlier employer (preferred and takes short time). Alt 2- In case earlier employer couldn't be located or has any issue you may apply through present employer. The output filled form will come out accordingly which you need to sign and submit to selected employer (through speed post if Chennai one selected). EPF reminders will go to the selected employer and you will get SMSs. I have got 2 accounts transferred within 1 month from application. more

Hi Damaraju, Since you mentioned that you have taken up an employment in a organization in Hyderabad, you are not allowed to withdraw your prev. EPF fund. You should apply for the transfer of your old EPF account to the new EPF a/c. more
