Pray what is the service rendered by IRCTC while the tickets are booked by public sitting in their homes, sending money to the bank account of IRCTC directly and printing our own tickets. The online bookers never go to IRCTC/Railways physically and never get a service of any kind. Bull shit. No service is either rendered or received in the online booking. Yes, Govt can take taxes by any denifition. As they are KINGS. more

Right question. But the excuse given by those deducting ST or IT even by theur mistake (inspute of having submitted Firm 15G/H) is that the tax so deducted hss been rrmitted. They expect the customer to file the return and get refund. This is unjust and cumber some esp for a pensioner. The remittances si made should be to a running account and facility for alterations should be made available. I.e, once the refind s made next remittance could be adjusted suitably. Or cancellation is shown in next remittance. more
