What College Students can do for Swachh Bharat

While many schools have integrated Swachh Bharat into their education process/curriculum and an impact visible with young children, the same drive is largely missing at colleges with a few exceptions.

With this post, we would like to seek your specifc inputs on how Swachh Bharat can be integrated into college education and how students can be effectively mobilized to play a role in Swachh Bharat while getting educated and trained for their careers at colleges of India.

We look forward to your inputs!

'Shram Daan' is a most effective way of inculcating a habit of cleanliness in the schools and colleges. All students during their free period or a specified period must clean the campus of the institute and also the surroundings out side, if possible, including the toilets and the teachers must accompany them. We have done this while we were studying. Education department may also introduce cleanliness competition among the institutes and students like the sports and games competition. Proper implementation of any system/rule is the key to its success. more
The NSS should be more actively involved in at least cleaning up their own campuses! MS in Baroda has litter everywhere and no student body 'sees' it! more
