Travel plans of citizens and Covid 2nd wave

Many families after no travel for over a year planned their summer travel as the COVID cases had reduced by February this year. However with the 10X rise in COVID cases from March 15th and a massive second wave, many citizens are now faced with either cancelling with penalties from providers or travelling with the risk. Below is the circle survey

Summer Travel Plans and India's 2nd COVID wave

The need of the hour is for airlines, hotels, travel portals, others to refund in full or atleast permit a free rescheduling. You are welcome to share the report link with family/friends and your experiences and views on the same in the circle! more

Regarding the above statement, the travel agents, Railways, Airlines, hotels and so on should be refunded the money, if anyone having their reservations due to the following reasons:

1. We never predict the Covid-19's future attack for rescheduling our programs.

2. If the travel agents,Railways, Airlines, Hotels and so on refunded the money to their customers, certainly this money would be immense help to their day to day activities including to the safe guard from threatening the Covid-19.

3. If we rescheduled our programs, other institutions especially the education departments unable to plan their reopening institutions to the students resulted our Children does not get proper educations in their life.

In view of the above, I have strongly recommended for the refund option.

Better to avoid travel.Govt should initiate measures for either full refund or free rescheduling. more
I don't know as to how any one thought that covid is going away. 2nd and 3rd wave had come from Jan in many parts of the world. It was surprising that it got delayed in India; but it was bound to happen as people started moving about without practicing the covid protocols. It will be with us even into 2022 more
