Using of plastic bags.

dear all;

I'M new to this group and want to do something for my society.
As we all know that we maximum indian just beleive in talking big, but doing less. It's good that now we can share our problems of our society on one plateform. Not about our lifes but for our mother(india).
coming straight to the point we should keep our society clean but one thing we should also think about the garbage. IT should be also disposed in a right manner so that its returns are good not making our ambience polluted.
PLASTIC BAGS will create a big issue if not looked into it urgently. today approx everyone is using it in some or the other manner. Every person should think about this and try to make less use of it as much as possible.
While going to market i take my cotton hand bag so while buying vegetables i dont take plastic bags with it.
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR VALUABLE COMMENTS HOW CAN I MAKE MY SOCIETY BETTER IN SOME WAY OR THE OTHER.
THANK YOU more

Thanks a lot to the Ministry of Urban Development for inviting me to the Swachh Bharat Local Circles. I have already joined the group of 9 which has been expanding exponentially. more
(1) Replace plastic bags with bio-degradable bags (2) Bags on rent concept (3) Bio-degradable bag vending machines more
Plastics is a major problem in swach Bharat drive. It is impossible to ensure that it is not used by people during purchasing in the market. Worst are educated and rich people who argue a lot. To my mind ban on plastic bags has had no effect at all. Only alternative left is to effectively stop production of all PLASTIC BAGS in India. No import of these should be permitted until we get used to avoid use of it. Any suggestions to curve its uses in public more
we should not leave every thing to government. first of all we should start from baby steps. THEN every ministry would be bound to join us. in our revelution to make india a place of heven. more
Ministry of U D should first direct the local bodies to meticulously attend to their duty of keeping the city clean for which they are there. Making the public to undertake periodical cleaning of places will only disengage the responsible organisations from their duties. However public involvement can be made to create awareness and monitor the operations. more
