Unsubscribing english newspapers

I had been contemplating for couple of years about unsubscribing english newspapers and from 15th of this month I stopped Times of India and Mint and Business standard (had replaced ET with Mint and BS)

i find that the news in English papers is largely driven by brands and little bit by Government hardly by citizens.

i will now get my news through hindi newspaper and digital
media.

what are other people in the circles doing? how do you get honest public centric news? more

If you unsubscribed because you felt you weren’t deriving value (few pages read, many ads, etc) then likely it was a good decision. But if you drop and then find you miss something, you might regret it. more
Useless english media. Only use news papers to clean the house and layer on shelves. more
All newspapers are faltu-whether English or regional. Nothing is truthful. more
Good decision. I have stopped reading newspaper since past 7 years. They are no longer 4th pillar of democracy, they are sold out. more
TOI is full of advt and less news.It would be better if one goes subscribe local newspaper since they cover more news which is local where we are living and some important global news or for that if one is keen can see news channel. In bangalore like Deccan herald covers more news local ones like if there is going to be some maintenance jobs in electricity supply or water supply which these national papers do not cover more
