Increasing Social Interactions and risk of Covid 3rd wave

Thanks to all members who participated in the survey on social interactions they are likely to have in the coming months. Below is the link to the survey report which has been covered by 20+ publications this week:

Rising Social Interactions spark risk of 3rd COVID wave

There is a clear risk of COVID cases rising and hence it is critical to minimise social visits and interactions in the coming months and keep them to most essential ones only.

If you have ideas, suggestions on what should be done to minimise social interactions, please do share the same. We cannot afford a 3rd COVID wave this year. more

Since last two years COVID has created havoc and on many a occasions social functions have been avoided. It is becoming difficult to avoid death rituals and social functions like marriage etc. more
The problem is the 'NO CARE' attitude of participants in a social gathering in not following the Covid Protocols. Take the example of Ravi Shastri and some of the team staff members attending his book release program in UK, getting covid finally leading to the cancellation of the 5th test. It is the educated and knowledgeable people who are getting covid now a days. Many of them subscribe for not taking vaccination also. more
Government itself encouraging by arranging, organising huge crowds like KUMBHMELA, JANASHIRWAADA, etc. allowing GANESH FESTIVAL (in"GRAND" MANNER in Bangalore). Found MINISTERS, MPs, MLAs, MLCs of all parties particularly ruling at CENTRE, KARNATAKA are not wearing masks, not maintaining at least 2 feet distance, hugging, shake hands etc. in marriage reception parties and many more. Why we should blame general public? Government is encouraging directly spread of virus, so that many gets disease, admits to private hospitals, pay more to exploiting billings, ultimately some % is paid to these people ruling us. more
If people follow the norms of no crowding , distancing from each other, masking (especially in the presence if others and while talking), no hugging and handshaking, vaccinated and at the slightest instance of symptoms, staying away from others - then cases can come down (unless there is some other unknown cause for the spread). Organizers of the social gatherings should also limit the number of people, ensure that those who come are vaccinated and ensure they follow the ither norms. more
Govts must order to follow these Covid Controls inevitably more
Until we reach a stage where the new positive cases in the whole country is brought to nil for at least 15 days, we people should co-operate with the measures adopted by our Govts. However, if any State is free from any such new positive cases for 15days, inter-state movement can be let free but movement of people from other States must be either minimised or allowed with only strict examination of the visiting persons. Similarly, people from abroad too must be closely monitored not to spread. If we follow such guidelines for at least a month, I'm confident that we can be done with this Coronaa spread any further. Otherwise, this problem keeps continuing even after some years or even end up grievously. Both Govts. n people should behave with utmost responsibilities n discipline. Vaccines r not just the saviours in my opinion. more
