Trains, are they supermarkets?
I am a regular traveler. I expect peaceful and pleasant atmosphere in trains. The trains have been converted into noisy markets selling all sorts of goods from safety pins to vegetables and unhealthy eatables. Moving in all directions causing lot of inconvenience. Is it not possible to stop this market mentality in trains? more
I was shocked when I was travelling from Delhi to Mangalore by Nizamuddin Trivandrum S F exp when a vendor was shouting daroo, daroo selling liquor. My niece who could not grasp what he was selling, called him and asked what he was selling. He was selling liquor bottles wine, whisky, fenny, etc. and though consumption of liquor is banned, railway authorities are not able to check the sale of liquor in trains. Strange but true. more
The Railways has the power to bar the entry of these petty vendors in one stroke. However, the local politicians then use this opportunity to claim this move as anti people and mobilize people to burn or block the trains. All of us are suffering because of these local politicians for their silly intention of garnering more votes in the coming elections. more
I agree. This nuisance must stop. more
