TODAY I HAVE BOOKED FIVE TICKETS. TWO ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND OTHERS ARE YOUNGSTERS,.I HAVE GIVEN THE OPTION TO BOOK ATLEAST ONE LOWER BERTH. BUT TO MY SURPRISE WE BOTH SENIOR CITIZENS HAVE BEEN ALLOTTED TWO UPPER BERTHS AND MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW ALLOTTED MIDDLE BERTH AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER GOT SIDE LOWER BERTH.RAILWAY MINISTER BOASTED SENIOR CITIZENS ARE BEING ALLOTTED LOWER BERTHS. EVENTHOUGH THERE WERE 239 BERTHS WE GOT THE ALLOTMENTS LIKE THIS.HOW THE SEAT ALLOTMENTS ARE BEING MADE? more

If the suggestions are feasable & OK and shall be considered for implementation then the same should be displayed in this column, to encourage the writers - otherwise no fun writing and wasting energy. more

On July 4th,I travelled to Nizamuddin from Bangalore with my wife by Rajadhani Exp.and both are senior citizens but were allotted upper and mid berths where as youngsters were occupying lower berths.Never before such things never happened.I wondered why it is happening now when the present Govt is giving special care to elderly persons!How ever on our return journey we came by flight thereby saving time and strain. more

What Jagatheesan has written is perfectly right. Infact during upto 2013 the available quota in Sr Ctzn used to be shown after filling details of journey ( before payment ) and that helped the Passengers to decide the booking. Please Sir, restart the above facility and bring transparency in booking of Tickets by Sr Ctzn. more
