THIS WILLBE A BIG SET BACK FOR iNDIA : U.S.A. hada dialogue with Taliban and with drew the Troops. AFGHAN and the peole had become sitting Ducks. Of course without Blood shed. NOw our 3 neibours Pakistan, China will gang up with Taliban. THAT IS NOT A VERY DESIRABLE ONE FOR TOUR COUNTRY. There is a big Question whether INDIA SHOULD ALSO HAVE A DIALOGUE WITH tALIBAN TO SAFE GUARD OURSELVES FROM OUR LIFE LONG CONVENTIONAL ENEMIES. Yet there is a small ray of hope that Taliban 2.0 will concentrate on Governance and not terrorism. Only time will tell us.

Terrorists of all hues, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have gotten active due to this Taliban's overture. Cannot say that Taliban innocent, when the started this march towards occupying the entire Afghanistan that was entirely their selfish motive through an invasion using American military hardware. Without spending anything on welfare or even allowing citizens freedom, Talibanisation being sought throughout the nation. Barbaric in their outlook, seeing their tyrannic rule before Americans came 20 years back, the entire country's populace now seeking escape from their rule, which is merely confinement undemocratically. India could go along so long as Americans ruled democratically, but now the situation appears beyond India's governance capacity. more

Yes, certainly. Not much happened here within India, anyway with Parliamentary sessions during monsoon session of parliament, being stalled. Nothing Taliban 2 has done till now to give us any hope that they are different from their earlier selves as a paternalistic, terrorising group who believed in wresting power through tyranny and felt justified doing so, while tyrannically keeping women subjugated. Yet, as Shekhar Gupta has made 2 observations, rephrased to be concise: 1.Without American benevolence Pakistan's ability at aiding them would be 0. Geographical advantage since long has been factored in. 2. Russia too now wiser, after experiencing their first advent 42 years back is content containing them from spreading northwards into Central Asia republics. Striking at them with boldness needed from India. To act promptly, India must remain watchful. more
