I Travel by Rajdhani/Duronto and Shatabdi quiet often but you know who pays for my travel?? it is my company who pays for my ticket. I found that 50% of traveler's travelling by Rajdhani/Duronto and Shatabdi are not paying but it is the corporate who are paying. If i want to travel by my own expenses then i will not travel by Rajdhani/Duronto and Shatabdi but by SL class more  
My comments posted at this place a few hours ago seem to have disappeared. I do not know why. This flexi fare system is totally flawed ab initio, because : 1. No one has disclosed what is the basis of the 10% cut off of seats before the surge in fare begins. Is it that the government wants a big rush for booking tickets as soon as the booking opens? 2.The old and the infirm will find it difficult to book tickets as soon as the booking opens. DOES THE GOVERNMENT WANT TO DISCOURAGE THEM FROM TRAVELLING IN THESE TRAINS? 3.What is the rational behind exempting IAC and EC classes from such surcharge. If the demand for such costly seats is less the number of seats in such classes should be decreased and the number of lower classes should be increased. 4.Normally, the middle class passengers travel by Rajdhani and such other comparatively costlier trains only when they have compulsorily reach some where and cheaper alternatives are not available. IT WILL BE THESE PEOPLE WHO EITHER BECAUSE OF AGE OR OTHER COMPELLING REASON CANNOT TRAVEL BY UNRESERVED COACHES. 5. THIS WILL ENCOURAGE THE TAXI OPERATORS AND AUTO RICKSHAW OPERATORS TO SIMILARLY CHARGE "SURGE FARES". HOW SHALL THE GOVERNMENT REFUSE THEM THIS RIGHT? I BELIEVE THIS IS UNFAIR AND THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SEATS/TRAINS, IMPROVE ALL ROUND EFFICIENCY OF THE RAILWAYS TO INCREASE THE INCOME OF THE RAILWAYS INSTEAD OF USING SUCH UNFAIR MEANS AND COMPEL THE COMPARATIVELY LOWER INCOME GROUPS TO PAY MORE. more  
It is a sheer disaster to think of surge pricing in Railways in some trains.With a large population of our country,after introducing the the scheme the trains may go full even after surge pricing. that is no indication of success of the scheme.This scheme,to say the least begs the question of ethics pursued by the Railways, run by the govt.Do you think that the public look at taxi aggregators like OLA's and UBER's policy of surge pricing kindly?Many state govts have banned the practice.Sooner the railways withdraw this scheme,people's faith and trust in Railways and BJP Govt will be restored. more
