There was a fairly large gathering at leisure valley in the morning today in Gurgaon. People came out to share their collective concern on the worsening air pollution in Gurgaon and the impact it is having on the health of the residents.
People carried placards with echo their voices, exhange notes on how to reduce pollution at individual level and signed a petition against repeated burning of garbage - a major cause of pollution. The petition is to be submitted to the commissioner of MCG by the represenrative of the group.
I am wondering how do we keep track that the petition reaches the commissioner desk and he acknowledges it. more

A petition on www.change.org will be more effective. Among other things, generators in residential colonies are a big source of pollution - let us stop using them if we really want to help reduce pollution. more

Who will take any action on the matter ! Enforcement is Zero in Gurgaon as the Govt. Official donot take action due to smaller benefits ! more

Hello dear I am very thankful to you. Pollution is increasing in gurgaon day by day and it is becoming the worst city in the world. Our government is less awared about this. In my opening, bursting the crackers should be banned in India because this was neither our culture nor it is good for the people. Mam the second reason is the worst condition of road in India. PED is not working, trashes are not collected regularly, seaver is not maintaining and shortage of water treatment plants. Third reason is burning of crops in the field which causing the aur air and soil pollution. That was my points man and I wish you will focus on theese. There you and i have it - that is how our Independent Bharat "RUNS" itself ...it tends to run away from its own shadow, so to say. That is why everyone wants a Government job, "you scratch my back, & i scratch yours" is the definition of our massive democracy...which functions more like a democrazy--and it gets worse when State level or the Gen. Elections come around the corner -- promises get made by hundreds, NOTHING happens except for the most odd and idiotic debates -- NOTHING POSITIVE COMES TO PASS. We are made a mockery off by the 100,000 or 200,000 of sorts SPECIAL Citizens who rule us all ! Having been in the government for nearly 4 decades, I can assure you that the petition will be seen by thr concerned at dak stage, marked to the next lower level for n/a (necessary action) and down the line for some one to write nfa (no further action) and get filed. more
