The shame of do-it-yourself roads

Hi All,Caught in the crossfire of the blame game between authorities and builders,as the attached photo-article will show,residents have taken self-help to a new level.I am looking to getting information on any correspondence of societies mentioned in this article, regarding their interactions with authorities etc which drove them to this.Could the societies mentioned therein(in the article attached),please shed some light? more

All taxes, viz House tax, Car Registration, Road Tax are paid to the State Govt. Hence, the primary Supplier is the State Govt, and is bounden to provide service. Issues with the builder are t be sorted out at the Govt-Builder level, but service provider is the Govt. As this issue is 3 years old, resolution by Govt is needed. more

Urvi ji, what action you intend to take? This is the condition of most of the roads in societies which are still with the builder and has not been taken over by MCG so far. But, even if MCG takes over, will the situation improve or not, is doubtful. Even the residents in such areas, encroach upon the public road by making big ramps at entrance of their houses, dump construction materials on the road side, making the road unmotorable. If the residents themselves do not follow the law and dig the road during construction works of their houses, things can not improve. more
