television serials, movies, news papers etc are creative activities, and one can't control them. The only way to overcome the problem is to make wholesome viewing material available for the viewing public. Scholars, and original thinkers should come to occupy these fields, so that unwholesome contents are side tracked. French cinema is one of the best in the world, because the best minds entered that field. Satyajit Ray could make films only because he was a personal friend of BC Roy, then CM of West Bengal. Otherwise we might not even have heard his name. By and large we have a tendency to promote third rate, cheap material. One reason is also our educational system, which promotes poor quality at high cost. Basic changes are required to improve our culture.
