Impossible to get app taxi / auto in peak / near peak time and other time adding tips only while booking. Remedy lies elsewhere. more

It did not stop. I paid additional amount as tip 4 times in last 2 days. Unless I add 20% to the original amount shown, no cabs/rickshaws are accepting the ride. more

It is good that tipping in advance is stopped. I have two questions. The first is how are the fares arrived at? Is there a base figure and then increments are made as per availability and route congestion? Let the fares not be unreasonable either to the driver or to the passenger. The second question is are the drivers charged by the taxi companies per ride or per day. I hear all sorts of answers. That they are charged a fixed rate, 25% of the ride per trip, only a fixed amount for each day etc. I should be grateful if people knowledgeable about this can give the right answer. Thank you. more
