Swachhata in Factories and Shops - Issues

With this post we would like to seek your inputs on what are the key issues you have observed related to cleanliness in factories and shops across India.

Once we understand the issues, we will have a separate discussion on solutions.

For Swachh Bharat to succeed, it is very important that cleanliness becomes a part of our daily lives. Only when that happens, will we be able to keep our neighborhoods and cities clean on a sustainable basis.

It requires awareness from our family itself. We can draw notice of the shopkeepers and factory owners through association or social workers or news papers and news channels. But they have political influence and it works time being only. These people have thick skin like an more  
None of the shops whether small or big have rest rooms! more  
First let government properly treat sewage before discharging it. There is no proper affluent treatment given to all types of waste water before discharging it into the river or sea. more  
Public having bearing the cess towards Swachh Bharat Mission, it is now the duty of the government to implement or to withdraw the cess and expect co-operation from the public. more  
Laws and Law enforcement agencies are already doing their work. But, problems are still in place. The scenario is pointing us to tackle the situation in a different manner. As Mr. Krishna Lal Chachra has pointed out increasing participation is the key to success of every movement these days. The same applies to Swachh Bharat, also. If we try and brand it as a movement of some people having different thinking, common man won't think of connecting himself. We need to make people aware of the necessity of this movement and urge them to participate for their own good. more
