The first thing I notice as I come out of my house is SPITTING everywhere in the staircases of the buildings, on the roads, on the foot path, on railway stations on foot over bridges, everywhere. There is no clean space remaining where nobody has spitted. They have not spared hospitals even.as you put your step forward and if you are not careful you are going to step on that sticky matter and carry it to your home. I think 70% or may be more people in India spit out side their home. It is not a common man's job to prevent someone from spitting. Because it will create only fights between people. Eating Pawn and chewing Tobacco must be stopped in public places. Using dustbins to spit also should not be allowed, why someone (sweeper)is made to clean that smelling, sticky thing for these dirty people. The government should come heavily on them and teach them a lesson by heavy fines. Unless spitting in public areas is stopped the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is only a dream. more
Govt could have controlled spitting if it is controllable. But what Govt can do happily is taxing the Raw material causing spitting. The tax should be like tax imposed on Smoking material. It is one way tax that is only enhancement. Like swatch bharat we may get swatch or not we get revenue. similarly we may control spitting or not we get revenue. That additional revenue will be helpful to banks to write off NPAs When a man spits in public places without hesitation, think twice to spit in shopping malls why? more
