Swachh Bharat Neighborhood Co-ordinator - Inputs

Dear all:

Some of you in this circle had suggested creating a circle for every neighbourhood connecting neighbours and having a 1-2 Swachh Bharat Neighbourhood Coordinators with the focus being Clean Neighbourhood.

We want to see if any of you has done that at your neighbourhood level and your ideas on how this concept can be built further.

A cleaner neighbourhood is a healthier neighbourhood, an organized neighbourhood, where home values also rises at a faster rate than the others.

We look forward to your inputs!

I think it's a good idea. We can have those co ordinators gather people from communities, area wise or streetwise and have a monthly drive to keep their neighbourhood clean. The volunteers can have a get together at the end of the day with stalls that sell wares from the local artisans, food places, children's games etc. A fun filled activity will be relaxing after the cleanliness drive and it will bring people together as well. Unity does wonders! more
Cleanliness state comes only with discipline.More disciplined are the people, cleaner will be the locality.Only creating awareness is not suffice.Create fear amongst the indiscipline people and see how fast cleanliness awareness spreads. more
We have agencies who are in business of re-utilizing waste materials so why not to involve them to do the waste collections from housing societies doorsteps & 2 different color plastic supplied to all residents at a fair cost to differentiate recyclable & food waste. Then these agencies who are going to earn out of the food waste also may become the supliers of plastic to house holds at fair or negligible cost....All sorts of monitoring of progress may be done on feed backs in an automated way for analysis while running such campaigns ....Importance of clean cities should be inculcated in kids in schools...Ads in TV ....re transmissions of programs on waste management like satyamev jayate did ... all we need is to make public aware about it & we should have improvements ... more
