Swachh Best Practices at Home and Office: Inputs

Last week many of you participated in the cleanliness awareness polls on what may require your attention to make your home and office Swachh.

With this post, we would like to seek your inputs on best practices that you follow at your home and office to keep it Swachh.

If best practices of everyone can be shared with others and help in putting together a collective best practices list for Swachh Bharat at home and office, it will be of great use to the wider population and play a role in success of the mission.

We look forward to your inputs!

Open garbage( dry) burning is the perpetual irritant .Domestic , Raddiwallahs, municipal workers, uneducated men, servants, maids, gardener’s and class -4 employees of offices need to be addressed if one has to take a step further. It is better in my city ,colony Saket,Hyderabad as collection of garbage is better, but disbursedplastic material is found in between houses, shrubs on the roadside and market areas. General spitting is less ,but next to paan eating old city areas it is a nightmare. Banning Paan, tobacco products might be helpful. more
We see used litters in Gardens and Road side. This is essential before open defacing to avoid it. more

Thanks for the detailed comprehensive suggestion from Ms. Anita which will be a mode for ay housing colony. There has been a flood of suggestions that show the circle members are all for Clean India. I just like to add one or 2 : * the segregation of the garbage non degradable , degradable and plastic should start at home , school , office . * this segregated garbage should be collected as such by the garbage collection agencies ; not mix up and then segregate again. * there should be one route for garbage collection ; from homes , offices , schools to collection agencies direct . No keeping outside the homes. This few steps will prevent cattle, dogs, birds , rodents spilling the garbage on the streets and making the atmosphere unhealthy. more
