Suggestion : Can't we make the TATKAL opening time based on Train departure (say 24 hrs before the individual train departure ) rather than 10.00 am of the previous calendar day.This will even out the load on the system. more

for revenue gain two ticket checkers must be deployed in every train. Further more staffs may be deployed for luggage checking job. railway can earn more by these two sources.I have observed these factors even in Shatabdi and Rajdhani expresses more

ashish suggesting is to reduce the server load. but will be difficult for other users when looking from the practical side as many of them wont be knowing the train timings. more

This is an architecture issue inside the system, to enable this function we need to revamp the core architecture of IRCTC, may be traffic load distributes, but load of scheduler service will come on to the portal as every time we have to check the this train time Tatkal is open for each booking, this will keep the load continuously on the system. more
