Sudden Closure of Postal Operations in Gurgaon till 10/7/18

Dear Gurgaon Residents ,
I am not sure if you are aware or not , I learnt yesterday that Postal Operations in Gurgaon are suspended till 10.7.2018 , without any advance notice /intimation or notice displayed at the post office premises
Yesterday I visited the PO for getting done a spped post when I was told that postal operations will be suspended in Gurgaon till 10.7.18
Today I recd. intimation from OBC bank that Chqs drawn on Post Office Saving Bank A/c dt.02/07/18 deposited on 2nd have been returned back today which means we shall be charged Chq return charges by OBC
As you are aware on 1st of July we are credited with interest for last 3 mths on SCSS a/c as well as other Instruments , in the absence of which all the post Office Bank A/c holders are being put to hardship pl more

Very true I went to post office to withdraw money from my account but saw the notice was hanging for same. So came back without money more
Yes you are right it is suspended due to software upgradation work by TCS to come on a single portal pan India. I also visited sector-56 Gurgaon post office twice but didn't happened. more
I have surprising experiences. I find some improvement in postal services. For example I have received two post cards in last few days within 3-4 days of posting which was a dream a few months ago. But also find some bad ones. Rs 5 stamps (One most used by the customers) are not available for last many days in Delhi. There are no VPP forms available in Delhi. With great difficulty I found one from a friendly Post Master. I am using copies. But the payments received are moving at a snails pace. more
You should (jointly) put a petition and claim the cheque retd. charges levied by the bank along with costs. If you are not paid within a reasonable time, put the complain to Consumer Court along with compensation for harassment and mental hardships. more
