1. Should the ban on smoking and consuming alcohol in trains be strongly enforced by empowering Railways Protection Force/Police to make arrests for violation?
a - Yes. b - No. c - Can't Say
* It is not appropriate to club "Smoking" and "Consuming Alcohol" in the same question.
* Nearly all will answer yes for smoking because it is an universally accepted public health hazard. But they may not agree with the consumption of alcohol.
* Consumption of alcohol should require intervention when it no longer stays a PRIVATE activity.
2. What according to you should be the top action priority for Indian Railways?
a. Ensuring cleaner coaches, toilets and stations
b. Improving safety on tracks
c. Improving the online and offline reservation system
d. Making more hygienic and better food available
* SAFETY (b) is NOT an option, but is mandatory. So cannot be included among the options. more

For all long distance trains there should be a smoking area in the train. I won't recommend arrest for consumption of alcohol ,as it will not be enforced and will only become money making tool for the police and railway personnel. more

No, rather smoking and drinking paid zones should be created at Rly. stations and trains for habitual's. more

you cannot stop a person who is addicted to smoking when he is travelling on long distance train. So in that purpose a smoking room can be introduced in long distance trains. But when considering short distance journey it can be avoidable. And as far as alcohol consuming is considered it should be strictly prohibited on trains. more
