Storage of Public Distribution items by FCI
Sometime back I raised the point and it was appreciated by team. I am sorry no action was taken to store the food items or improve the present system, the result is huge items are wasted annualy by wrong storage A thorough study shoiuld be made to improve the storage facilities in order to avoid waste. I suggested to construct silos all over India by replacing the existing normal shed to store different grains so that the old grains can be taken first and fresh grains can be stored for further use. Present system of storing in gunny bag can be avoided so that huge wastage can be feeded for large number of poor people. more

Many a times such projects were envisaged by many states including Punjab Markfed but looking to the enormous investment involved non of the projects could see the light of day so far. more

Huge silos are needed to be designed and erected .But corruption at FCI cannot be stopped.Private storage facilities are playing as hoarders with millers in our state of AP.and controlling the markets.Market yard officials ,elected reps are controlling the prices they are playing with farmers lives. All govt procurements are corrupt ,cotton, tobacco , mirchi, sheet, paddy .It is a huge ocean of corruption.All employees including hamalis are rich.IT ,Vigilence are non existent in these peoples minds. more
