Standards for RO services
Are there any standards in the country for RO services. Every one tends to do their own thing. If there are standards, please do publish them so we can hold some of these companies accountable. Eureka Forbes, Kent and the hundreds of local RO service centers all doing their own thing. more

After warranty Eureka Forbes charge Rs 425 as visit charges which is too high,it should be Rs100 to Rs150 and charge extra for any part changed. more

I think any filteration system for water used for drinking we need to see to ensure that the water coming out from the RO /normal filteration system does it confirm to it or not.For that what we need to see is before filteration what is the purity of water and once we get it from the system what it is for comparison to understand what has the machine done to the water . Machine specification helps to some extent so we need to ask this to the manufacturer as to what is the limits of the machine for this one should ask him to test your water in the house and see what he says about it and check the out let . more

The service personnel of reputed companies are just cheating the customers.In my case, the RO was reducing the tds from 100 to about 15-20 in a months time, within free service period. When asked the service guy he adjusted it to 100. Again within 15 days it came down.( I was measuring the tds by purchasing a meter ). Immeditely after warranty period , he suggested change of some items costing thousands of rupee. Anyhow, after free service was over , I got it serviced by a local guy and without changing any part , now it is perfectly working between 80- 100 TDS. more

Normally every reputed company have their standard operating procedures which result in desired end results, in this case water quality as BIS standards. more
