Standards for 5000 imported items
Why is it so slow to engage with industry experts and even general public. If they operate at this pace soon the standards body will be redundant and we will just be adopting global standards (which we may be doing anyways despite having BIS)

To meet the present requirement, the defination of Bureau of Indian Standards has to be amended. more

One MNC in India prescribed two fertilizers, Menab & Zenab, to be sprayed on soil.
MNC prescribed zero Zinc in Menab (manganese salt) AND zero Manganese in Zenab ( zinc salt).
What is the sense ? You accept Zinc and Manganese salt as fertilizers for soil but prescribe zero of each into other !! Both are useful to soil.
As a result of such stupid specifications, I lost an international tender and the MNC got it.
The MNC specifications were accepted by buyer only because buyer was financed by IMF more
