(2) Also Government, if require may provide assurance to Private Hospitals to reimburse proportionate difference of the charges of the hospital and the tariff upon submission of requisite documents.
Patients may require / compel to approach Private Hospital as there may not be beds available or non availability of basic infrastructure, staff and amenities.

The Tamilnadu Govt. Health Department is attempted to cap inpatient treatment cost for COVID-19 patients at Rs.7500/- will be the maximum charge for a day for treatment in General ward of Private hospitals that offer tertiary care, Rs.15,000/- for ICU care in such hospitals and Rs/ 22,500/- in case whee life-saving equipment such as ventilators are used. Now a days ventilators are manufactured by Indian Auto industries in large quantities and therefore in cases where life saving equipments are used the cost could be reduced much less. Apart, from the above, the caping of charges must be issued by the Govt.of India for uniformity of reates in private hospitals with the Grades specified, since even an ordinary private hopitals will try to charge the same charges.
