Spurious and adulterated food stuff

Over the last 2 weeks I have come across news and media coverage which warn you that 'Chinese' food product duplication has entered the Indian market and could soon invade your kitchen. Starting with synthetic cabbage, plastic rice and now even eggs... the ingenuity of greedy humans is simply mind blowing. I don't know if such experiments in adulteration are being driven by profiteering mode or just simply aimed at destruction of mankind. No doubt if a vendor is able to make 10-15 omelettes from one synthetic egg... he would naturally turn a blind eye to the side effects to focus on the side of accumulating profits in his cash box.
The only way to save ourselves is by creating awareness.
Yesterday in Global News India there was a 10 minutes coverage on synthetic eggs and how to identify a fake egg. It floats a bit in a jug of water unlike the real egg. Also its yellow (yoke ) doesn't dissipate easily when it is stirred. The outer shell itself would have a slight bluish tint and would not be smooth and slippery. But then we believe that FSSAI is there to protect us...right? more

Such items are imported with active connivance of local businessmen, whose sole motive is money making, and corrupt local authorities such as customs, food inspectors and police. High time stiff penalties including severe prison terms are imposed on all those found involved in such spurious business. more
The news of synthetic cabbage, plastic rice and now the eggs is a matter of concern. Let there is something by FSSAI to handle such food materials in circulation. more
What ever ill is being happening in food industry or trade (specially imports) is either not known to the Law enforcement agencies or they are ignoring the facts in lieu of large illegal monitory exchanges. Such a situation is creating very negative effects on consumer health. Some how, the large companies are not exception to this. The law enforcement agencies do not have 100 % dedicated honest manpower to check and control the menace and secondly they are not supported with state of the art food quality analysis laboratories to support any action in time. The dishonest food business people (Indian or foreign) take advantage of such situations and mint billions of dollors by the time system is in a position to punish the guilty. more
The big question is as to whether all these synthetic and artificial food products are really produced in China and exported to our country with an idea of inducing serious health hazards to our populace being a branded national enemy or our own greedy profiteering business community is committing such heinous crimes and tactfully shifting the onus to the neighbouring enemy nation. Injustice would be done to our people, who are master in making artificial milk with detergent & urea and feel personal loss to sell any food items without adulteration, to doubt their capability in producing artificial and synthetic/plastic cabbage, rice, eggs and other food items. The government agencies should, therefore, investigate into the sources of such poisonous food items without loss of time and initiate all required measures their against without prejudice. If investigations disclose China as the source nation of dumping such artificial poisonous food items with inhuman intention, our government should be very cautious & selective in permitting import from that nation, particularly food items, which should be allowed to enter our country only after full satisfaction of their purity and harmlessness human health. Meanwhile our people should be made cautious against consuming such poisonous foods through wide publicity. more
There has to be some serious deterrent against such acts of inhumanity & traitors. more
