Opinion .Palm oil
GOI has once banned import of Palm oil,but the import is going on from Malaysia Indonasia,etc.Keep the import against Import license and increase duty. more

Palm oil is said to be harmful for human consumption. If this is true the govt must ban it or increase custom duty to unsustainable levels so that it cannot stand competition from local, coconut/ groundnut oil. Whereas the local farmers will be benefited and people saved from bad effects of palm oil. more

govt need to increase excise duty on import oils for consumption also to ensure local prices do not go up cultivation needs to increase to ensure that availability increases of oil locally more

I am a farmer, I have coconut trees. To avoid palm oil or any other oil commercially available I made coconut oil at home. To be precise, it is not possible to take out 1 litre of oil for less than 300/=, my cost price for local use was Rs 330. I cannot understand how one litre of any other oil can be less . Any information regarding this is welcome and I do need it more
